In ihrer zweiten Soloausstellung zeigt Kathia von Roth Objekte, die auf längst Bekanntes und doch Unausgesprochenes verweisen. Neue Werke, Artefakte und Fundstücke aus einer anderen Welt erzählen von technologischen und gesellschaftlichen Potentialen, die ausgeschöpft werden wollen.
Die Ausstellung befragt die Gestalt der Dinge in einer anscheinend untergehenden Welt und erinnert an Gestaltungsentscheidungen, die am Untergang beteiligt sind.
Gezeigte Arbeiten provozieren Spekulation und erscheinen gleichzeitig als eine Beweisführung der Künstlerin für bereits Gewusstes.
Ergänzt werden die Objekte durch Schriften und Arbeiten der letzten Jahre, die fragmentarisch auftauchen und unvollendet wie sorgfältig einen erzählerischen Kontext bilden.
Entgegen aller Schwere wirkt Angenommen Anders durch den Verfremdungseffekt wie ein Spiel, das unaufdringlich aber eindringlich zur Imagination auf Augenhöhe einlädt: Wie machen wir es, Anders?

In her second solo exhibition Kathia von Roth is showing objects that refer to something already known but yet unspoken. New pieces, artifacts and found objects from a slightly different world tell stories of technological and human potential about to become apparent. 
The exhibition is informed by the Gestalt of things in an ending world and recalls design decisions contributing to that end. It is playfully provoking speculations while manifesting as a proof of the artist for what is already commonly understood. 
Objects are embedded in a bigger complex of work and worldbuilding through explicitly unfinished but thoroughly curated fragmented writings and drawings. 
On towards all darkness Angenommen Anders uses the alienation/distancing effect to invite into a subversive and persuasive game of envisioning: how do we do it differently?

Angenommen Anders. Given That: Different. (work in progress 07/26)
Angenommen, Given That – opens a perspective like a more persuasive version of theater that goes beyond the idea of „Als ob“, „As if“. The playful setting of „Given that“ allows your mind to wonder into unknown logix of not yet known worlds like a good game does, it goes beyond the process of just pretending „As If“ something would be different and sets your mind into a process of live storytelling.
You can try it yourself: Given that the floor is lava. Do you realize how you experience a new perspective on your environment?
