Julia likes encouraging feelings and sticking to the truth. She's played in several musical groups over the years- most notably Dusk & Tenement. Her own music likens to Karen Dalton, Nina Simone & perhaps even Abbey Lincoln, though she is often compared to Janis Joplin or Carole King. She has currently finished her first solo record, to be released this fall through the record label she co-founded: Crutch of Memory Enterprises. She came to Europe to study how to make puppets, and she’s relieved to get to play a little music while she’s here.
