Join us for „Cultural Kaleidoscope – See Saw Seeds Effect 2024,“ the newest collaboration
between C.A.P. and MOM Art Space. Since 2016, this project has linked artists from Kobe,
Japan, and Hamburg, Germany, alongside partners from the UAE and Finland. Three artists from
Japan—Norio Kawamura, Shoko Yamamura, and Yura Kim—will conduct research and contribute
to an exhibition at MOM Art Space. Dive into this colorful interchange of art, where different
mediums intersect to inspire creativity and new insights.
Norio Kawamur is an artist, florist, and occasional editor. He uses various media such as sculpture,
IKEBANA (Traditional Japanese flower arrangement), and words to research and express the values
of „life and death“ and „how to live/how to die“ in contemporary society.
Shoko Yamamura’s works use words and materials likely to be found in everyday life. Focusing on
consumer life in the cities, she intends to suggest some moments of reflection, respect, and
generosity in one’s relationship with one’s surroundings.
Yura Kim’s paintings and installations capture moments we miss, exploring personal perspectives
and human interaction with nature. Her work seeks to promote critical thinking and dialogue
about our relationship with nature, raise awareness of environmental pollution.
