Ahmed Shayo was born in Nairobi, Kenya, on a sunny Friday morning, February 19, 1993. His passion for writing began in high school as a dare with a classmate but soon evolved into a profound exploration of poetry. His work has been featured in online publications such as Kalahari Africa and Jalada Magazine. He is currently studying Art History at the University of Hamburg, Germany, and continues to write poetry on occasion.

Elcretense is actually Santiago. A picture lover in all of its forms. Although his professional path is on the art history side, or maybe precisely because of that, he's intensely fond of collecting images. Pictures of all sorts: fleeting, still; blurry, crispy; under and overexposed. Most of his work is black and white since he understands photography from its very same etymology: drawing with light. In "Ein Tag Sechs Nächte" he proposes a winter perspective. A short but moving day surrounded by the intense and even longer night. An invitation for the viewer to remember their days and nights on earth.

Leslie is a language and picture poet, processing the peace and fear of her perception of the night in tiny zines. Multimedia collages shape word and illustration, capturing the 'what if', the voices that get louder when our part of the planet is caught in a shadow. Where the ugliness and beauty of contradiction and chaos find a home on paper.
