As a starting point, Mette Juul is interested in the juxtaposition between the fragmented photo and the repeated readymade - in this exhibition - rental signs from the desert in America. The fragmented photographs are old family photographs – snapshots from a time long gone. The combination of different imagery and different time offers reflection of both new image-constellations and about the nature of the photography and for rent sings as documents of history and catalyst for storytelling.
