Arthur Tiar traces and documents biographies as narratives of identity through image-related forms of representation. Each artwork constituting condensations of a larger knowledge field, he lets the audience's comprehension of the Other enter into a circuit with the movement of their bodies in space and time.
Julie Gufler
Arthur Tiar (*1988, Paris) lives and works in Paris. He studied at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris and is a co-founder of the publishing house RÉCIT. Recent exhibitions include Décomposition d'une Maison, Le 116 - Centre d'Art Contemporain de Montreuil 2017 / Cabaret Courant Faible, galerie Jeune Création, Paris 2017 / Felicità 17, Palais des Beaux-Arts de Paris, 2017.
